Sebright is a two form entry primary school with a nursery which has sixty part time places. At Sebright we follow the local authority admissions procedure.
All admissions, except those to Nursery, are managed by Hackney Learning Trust. More information can be found on The Learning Trust website or by telephoning on 020 8820 7150 or 8820 7401.
Places for Nursery can be applied for at the school office. Our Nursery can provide places for 60 part-time pupils – 30 in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 30 in the afternoon from 12.30 until 3.30 p.m. As part of the 60 part time pupils, we have an allocation for 17 full time nursery places per day. Full time places can either be funded, based on certain criteria, or paid for and run from 9am until 3.30p.m. For further information on full time places please speak to the school office.
In-year admissions for Reception to Year 6 are managed by Hackney Learning Trust.
Parents are welcome to visit the school prior to contacting Hackney Learning Trust. Please contact us to make an appointment. An available member of the Senior Leadership Team will take you on a tour of the school and answer any questions.
Once children have been offered a place at Sebright, the parent/carer will be invited in to complete the necessary admissions paperwork. Documentary evidence such as child’s Birth Certificate and proof of their current address will be photocopied and kept on file.
Full-Time and Part-time Places
From September 2017, some working parents will be eligible for a full-time place (30 hours per week). Parents who wish to be considered for a full-time place will need to check their eligibility no earlier than 3 months before their child’s 3rd birthday. This can be done online at www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator.
Eligible parents will receive a code which must be given to the school in order for your child to receive 30 hours.
This process must be completed before the start of each school term in order to receive a funded place.
All other children will be considered for a part-time place (15 hours per week).
