St. Joseph's Hospice

At Sebright we participated in The Big Vote on Monday 27th November 2017. This is part of the "Make a Difference Challenge". The students cast their vote for one of the following ten causes:

  • Homelessness
  • Supporting the elderly
  • Animal welfare
  • Regeneration of a local area/amenity
  • Endangered animals
  • Children's well being
  • Cancer
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • The environment
  • Road Safety

Once the vote was counted, the results showed that Sebright students wanted to support the cause of cancer. To enable this, we are donating all money raised from Christmas performances, the carol concert and non-uniform day to a local community charity: St Joseph's Hospice on Mare Street. Since there will not be any tickets sold or fees for performances, please make a donation in the buckets available at the performances. During the Year 5 performance, the donations have been incorporated into the performance. To participate, please have money/change available. There will also be a bucket in the main office for your convenience. Many thanks for your support!
