Robin Warren
Executive Headteacher

A big welcome to the Sebright Primary School website.

I am the Executive Head Teacher of the Blossom Federation. This is made up of Daubeney, Sebright and Lauriston Primary Schools and Children's Centres. We are also now in an exciting partnership with Colvestone Primary School.

It is a very exciting time to be a school leader and these are very exciting schools to be a part of. I am delighted to lead the Blossom Federation onwards on its improvement journey.

I hope you enjoy learning about us in these pages and finding out about all the amazingly creative and high quality learning opportunities and experiences we provide for our children.

If you are a prospective parent or carer, we welcome you to the website. This presents a comprehensive overview of life for our children, but we hope you will visit for a tour at the school to see our work in action. Please also follow my Federation Twitter feed @BlossomExecHT or the school Twitter which is @SebrightPrimary

Pioneering Pathways, Extraordinary Experiences!

Our vision is for all children to feel that they have been successful at Sebright and to give them an amazing range of experiences. We are always trying to find ways of making our curriculum exciting and engaging and we try to develop the whole child.

We would love to show you around our amazing school and speak to you about the range of opportunities available so do visit us for a school tour if you are new to us or just speak to a member of SLT when you see us at the end of the school day.

What parents say about us

“It's a school that focuses on relationships and wellbeing, creating a strong community feel. Additionally, the quality of teaching my child has recieved is consistently high.”

Year 1 Parent

A great deal of effort has recently gone into Sebright's outdoor environment supporting a play-based childhood of which there can never be enough. Copious amount of new play equipment, grow beds, sand pits, mud kitchen and forest school all together create a highly stimulating environment. The OPAL Platinum award is a fabulous testament of all these achievements. Kids and parents are loving it alike.

Incredible school for your child to attend. Staff are supportive and children are happy and nurtured.
We love Sebright, we love all teachers and staff they are all friendly and kind.

Staff have been so welcoming to my son and just absolutely on it - they made joining Poppy Class so easy for him and he has come back singing new songs and talking about new friends. I drop him off feeling confident they are taking excellent care of him.

My daughter LOVES going to school! She often says on the way home that it was ‘the best day ever’, and although she rarely elaborates on the content she can now read somehow?! So it is working

Our first 2 years at Sebright have been great. To see our daughter so excited each morning to learn, get creative- loving her teachers and classmates in equal measure is so reassuring as a parent that you made the right choice. It's been amazing to see Elvi flourish these first two years and see her creativity and kindness recognised in equal measure. Could not be happier with what you all do and how you go about it. Miss Owosu will be a tough act to follow when Elvi joins Year 2 next year!

Sebright Primary is a great school with a family orientated environment and community atmosphere.

Our child has been extremely happy over the last year. She has developed with growing confidence and enjoys attending school. Moments that stand out have been when they go on trips, or have 'special' events like fencing. She loves her teachers.

The Sebright team is truly amazing. They take such good care of the children and treat them with the utmost respect. They also really encourage the kids to think for themselves and share their opinions. The values of respect and kindness shine through in everything they do. My kids couldn't be happier there.

The Sebright team is absolutely fantastic. They provide excellent care for the children and consistently show them respect. The staff also do a great job of promoting independent thinking and encouraging the kids to voice their opinions. Their dedication to respect and kindness is evident in all aspects of their work. We couldn't be happier being part of the Sebright community

Ms. Burrow, the Early Years leader, and her team of loving and caring teachers are doing an amazing job creating a playful learning environment for the little ones. We've noticed a big improvement in our child's communication and the quality of his conversations at home. They're also encouraging social and learning skills beyond our expectations, and nurturing a love for reading and math.

I wanted to say a big thank you for the incredible work that Mrs. Bird does as our Pastoral Care Manager. Her support for students during tough times, her positive approach to behaviour management, and her dedication to their well-being make a real difference! She makes magical moments for our kids, from creating amazing playgrounds to organising school fairs. We appreciate all that you do more than words can express.

Thank you, Mrs Cosovic, for helping us shape our daughter's personality into a calm, respectful, kind and eager to learning and helping lady. You had led by example, sharing values that are priceless! Your love and care for our children is beyond expectations You and all the team at Sebright are just super stars

Our family is absolutely thrilled with Sebright, where our daughter has experienced an extraordinary journey of learning and personal growth. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we knew this was a special place.

The teachers at Sebright are nothing short of phenomenal. They are passionate, dedicated, and incredibly nurturing, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes every child feel valued and supported. Our daughter looks forward to school every day, eager to engage with the thoughtfully designed curriculum that stimulates her curiosity and fosters a love for learning.

Beyond learning, Sebright places a strong emphasis on character development and social responsibility. The school’s community spirit is palpable, with numerous initiatives that promote kindness, empathy, and global awareness. Our daughter has learned the importance of teamwork, respect, and giving back to the community, which are values we deeply cherish.

Communication between the school and parents is outstanding. We are always kept informed about our daughter's progress and upcoming events through regular updates and friendly interactions with the staff. It is clear that the school values our involvement and strives to create a strong partnership with families.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to enrol our daughter at Sebright. It is a place where she is not only receiving an excellent education but also developing into a compassionate and confident individual. We wholeheartedly recommend Sebright to any parent seeking a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive primary school for their child.

I would love to share my thoughts how Sebright helps my son to grow, progress and guide him to his future. I would like to say special thank you to Ms. Miah, Ms. Bird and Mr Warren and Sebright staff for guidance and looking after my son.

My kids have changed for better since they’ve been to this school they have been much better academically and emotionally; their teachers are very professional and they understand their needs very well. Very happy so far,

Two of our children started in Sebright this year (nursery and reception) and we couldn't be happier with what we see. We feel the warmth of the staff, we see our children want to go to school and come back with new songs and ideas, we feel the community spirit of parents and teachers working together. We are so grateful for the school!

We love to be social!
