We have been investigating length, height and time and using mathematical
language to explore, measure and compare objects (and ourselves!)
We made watches and played ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’ as we talked about
‘o’clock’ and used timers to learnt about minutes. We also got our prediction,
ordering and number skills on the go as we measured ourselves and compared our heights, and objects by length. This allowed us to embed the language used for concepts which we use in our play and become familiar with measuring tools.
