Nursery - Black History Month, Diwali and Bonfire Night

In Nursery class, we finished the first half-term with a brilliant and funky Motown Week. We had a music stage in the classroom and everyone became amazing Motown artists like Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder or the Temptations. We had so much fun at our party with Reception Class and it was the best way to finish a month of celebrating Black History.

After the break, children were excited to tell their friends about Halloween and we took the time to celebrate Diwali by making Rangolis, Diyas and Mehndis. The next day, we talked about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night.
Finally, last week we had great fun looking at the story "Hank finds an Egg". There was no words so we had to look at the pictures and say what we could understand. We even made our own nests out of papier mache and decorated eggs.

This week, we are learning about Transport and welcoming 2 new friends.
