Nursery - Summer Term 2019
Summer term is well on its way and things are going to get even more fun.
This term has been amazing and we learnt so much about the World we live in.
We first looked at healthy living and eating. We looked at where fruits and vegetables grow and how to keep our body healthy and clean. The story “Handa’s Surprise” has been one of children’s favourite books as they were able to learn about another culture and animals at the same time. We looked at people and mainly animals around the world. We made a great display with our African hand-printed animals and learnt that depending where we travel to, they will find different types of animals. Nursery Class has also enjoyed a wide range of outdoor activities such as snack in the playground, lesson time and team games.
This week, we have been celebrating a colourful Hispanic week. “Si si hablamos Espanol”. We learnt many words and songs. We danced Flamenco and played instruments like shakers to join in Mexican songs. It was so interesting learning about a different culture.
We even had a Pinata full of sweets and watched a Mexican Band during Friday afternoon assembly. The week has been a real success “Muy Bien”.
Now, in the next few weeks we are going to be super busy. Sports Day, School Fair, Sebright Carnival and Graduation are big events we are looking forward to and hope parents can contribute to.
