We have been taking on the role of pirates in our play as we continue to get to know each other. We learnt how to talk like a pirate from listening to lots of stories with pirates in them, and then we thought about what a pirate wears and got creating our own costumes. Putting our fine motor skills to the test, we cut out eye patches, coloured maps, learnt how to draw a skull and crossbones for flags and bandanas. We also counted lots of coins and treasure, which we followed clues to find in a giant treasure hunt.
