Reception - Black History Month 2019

To celebrate Black History Month we learnt about African-Carribean history. In Reception we celebrate diversity! It was great fun to learn about Martin Luther King and the importance of treating everyone as EQUALS.

We explored lots of arts and craft activities using African prints like KENTE, making African necklaces and listening to music from all around the world. We loved listening to MOTOWN MUSIC, grooving away and learning about the different singers like Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross -  we even had a UV Motown party to celebrate and finish off Black History Month.
