Daffodil Hackney School of Food trip

We have been learning about cooking and after making smoothies in class we were ready to visit a professional kitchen and learn new skills. We had to listen carefully to the instructions and follow the chef’s recipe to create a delicious pizza! We learnt that we should make a rainbow arch to hold food when cutting and how to use a knife safely.

We made the dough ourselves, using all our dough disco muscles to knead the mixture and roll to use as pizza base. We talked about what fresh ingredients we could use to top a pizza and we chopped tomatoes, olives, courgette and peppers. We even tour fresh basil to add more flavour and colour. Yes chef!!
