On Thursday we went to the Tower of London. We couldn’t believe our eyes when they saw the crown jewels! They walked along the top of the battlements, entering the different towers and even plucked up the courage to read about the Traitors’ Gate. Finally, we met a costumed character who described the terrible events of the Great Fire of London. We acted out the story of Mr Pepys watching the flames from inside the ancient Tower walls.
