Year 4 Tower of London Trip

The Year 4s went to the Tower of London for a day of exploration and learning about Crime and Punishment through British History. Did you know that the oldest part of the Tower of London is the White Tower, which is in the middle of the site. Prisoners used to be kept here although daring escape attempts were often attempted – with mixed success! Once, a prisoner made a rope from his bed sheets, but unfortunately his rope wasn’t long enough to reach the ground. He jumped for it and lucky for him he had a soft landing. Not so lucky for him however, he had just landed in all the disgusting waste from the toilet that was emptied onto the floor below him every day! Euurrrghh! We heard lots of other adventurous, gory and fascinating stories and thoroughly recommend a visit.
