Today Year 5 enjoyed their first Child Led Learning Day.
Children voted for a gardening based day. In one of the activities of the day, children created an art installation inspired by the work of British artist Andy Goldsworthy. They selected leaves from our garden choosing tone, size and shape to help them create their installation.
We also planted cress seeds in the soil of the decorated elves we produced! We learned about what plants need to survive. Finally, we analysed some of the parts of a plant under microscopes!
