Year 6 recently participated in a brilliant Maths workshop about 2D and 3D shapes! Even through some of us were sitting down, we still all participated by visualising how to manipulate the sticks to create additional shapes. After visualising some of us would come up and try to solve the challenges.
Here are a couple challenges we remember - try it at home!
- Can you make 5 squares with 12 sticks? You must use all of them.
- Can you make 5 equilateral triangles using 9 sticks? You must use all of them.
