Year 6 conducted their own science experiment this week using a range of resources. We explored gravity and friction. We had to come up with our own experiment ideas using different types of string and balloons. Before we started our experiments, we planned what we were investigating and ensured we could make it a fair test. Some of us were VERY ambitious. Lots of us found that the balloon moved along the different types of string at different speeds due to the differences in friction slowing the movement of the balloon. Try it at home- but don’t pop the balloons!
