On Friday June 10th (luckily we had beautiful sunshine) Year 6 spent some time in our garden! We weeded not only our Year 6 planter but also other places in the garden. Since we were planting poppies, we did not want the weeds to choke the poppies, so we knew we had to get rid of them first! Using topsoil, we filled our compostable pots, dropped the seeds in a 3mm divot and then used trowels to dig holes in our planter for these pots! Following the same steps (but using plastic pots) we planted sunflower seeds to take up to our classes and watch grow! Can’t wait to see what happens!
