Year 6 - The Science of Sound

Maths, Music, water, and a bit of fun outside in the sun.

Both classes in year 6 have explored and investigated what sound is in physics. Looking at individual units of frequency are called hertz (Hz) of notes and then worked out a pitch for a missing tone in a scale.

Briefly looking at the harmonic series on brass instruments as frequency of fundamental pictures get closer as the pitch rises.

They had to fill the bottles of water to the correct level so that they could create the missing tone of the scale

Well done to one of the pupils in lavender almost perfect match!
