‘Don’t trust Google Translate’ has been our motto in our last two lessons of the year. Children in Year 6 have applied their translation skills to creatively translate a French recipe - Gallete des rois.
Using an original recipe written in French, and a glossary, they have created an English version of this Christmas classic. After a first attempt, in which they translated word by word, children rewrote their recipes as if they were popular TV chefs.
